Jacksonville, FL — (Sports Network) – The Jacksonville Jaguars announced Friday that they have signed unrestricted free agent linebacker Nick Greisen. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The 26-year-old Greisen spent the first four years of his career with the New York Giants where he played in 54 games, including 20 starts, and totaled 155 tackles, four sacks, six forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries.
The University of Wisconsin product enjoyed a career-year last season as he started a career-high 12 games and posted 79 tackles, good for fourth on the team, and a team-high four forced fumbles.
Greisen figures to be a serious contender for the starting spot vacated by linebacker Akin Ayodele, who signed with Dallas.
